Attribution-first regulated AI
Engagement ladder by ascending commitment, assessment-as-chat, a published NIST rubric, and a refused peer benchmark — receipts that state their own limits.
Twenty years of product leadership at the intersection of technology and commerce — from enterprise CPaaS to niche e-commerce — run as three mutually reinforcing lanes: executive leadership, productized advisory, and hands-on venture building. Each lane strengthens the others. The ventures are the R&D lab for the leadership.
The profile reads as strategy, not indecision — each track is evidence for the others.
I build and scale product organisations — and I stay hands-on enough to architect what they ship. My career runs through enterprise CPaaS, fintech-adjacent platforms, and specialised e-commerce, mostly in South African and emerging markets where constraint is the default design brief. I think in architectures: revenue models, systems, and the governance rails that let AI move fast without breaking trust.
The corporate track proves I can scale. The advisory track proves adaptability — the same frameworks, compressed into 30-day productized engagements. The venture track proves I can build: Pet Basics went from group-buy validation to a turnkey husbandry-e-commerce platform with external investment, architected and shipped by hand.
"I don't just manage products; I scale them. The ventures are the R&D lab for the corporate leadership."
AI-native is a working method, not a keyword. This site, the concepts gallery, and the agent pipelines behind my ventures are built with governed LLM workflows — leverage with an audit trail. That's the same posture I bring into regulated businesses: speed, trust, and governance in one operating system.
Pick a lane; every lane carries the same red thread — systems thinking, commercial fluency, governance.
"I don't just manage products; I scale them."
"Problem-solution oriented expertise, available on-demand."
"Building from the ground up — proof that I understand the 'How' as much as the 'Why'."
Every brief below was specified, critiqued, and designed in the open as an AI-native working method. The gallery is the receipts.
Engagement ladder by ascending commitment, assessment-as-chat, a published NIST rubric, and a refused peer benchmark — receipts that state their own limits.
A "Show the working" switch reveals NIST scoring and attribution depth; star-rated receipts read from the vault's confidence field.
Full portfolio redesign: mono-annotated receipts with stated limits, three-mode capability tabs, filterable gallery, engagement ladder. Single file, no framework.
The portfolio itself redesigned: status-ledger hero, three-lens capabilities, filterable concept lab, engagement-mode selector. GitHub-dark with serif headlines.
Pipeline swimlanes, transparent fit scoring with live-tunable weights, daily digest triage, research packs, application drafting. PRD + design brief published.
The three-pillar brief (Leader / Expert / Builder) read under extended thinking: unified narrative over scattered resume.
Same Leader / Expert / Builder model, interpreted at high reasoning depth — architecture-first narrative.
First-round take on the original single-track brief — typographic, long-form leaning. The lineage of this very page.
Transparent authority, two passes: lean structural direction, then a refinement of the same.
Grid-forward interpretation of the single-track brief, plus a second pass tightening the same system.
Systems-thinking aesthetic applied to the portfolio brief; second pass refined the grid and receipts language.
The live venture: husbandry e-commerce architected end-to-end — sourcing, logistics, payments, agent-assisted operations.
Filters show the brief lineage: v1 single-track → v2 three-pillar → v3 regulated-AI + portfolio redesign. Full gallery: portfolio.formfunction.co.za/concepts.
Transparent about availability, selective by design. Every path starts with the same low-friction email.
Head of Product, VP Product, CPO, or Chief Product & AI Officer. Looking for the right mandate — governance-heavy and regulated environments welcome.
30-day growth pilots, governed AI implementation, GTM strategy. Productized scope with named deliverables — not open-ended retainers.
Venture studios, accelerators, founders. Venture architecture, product advisory, or a hard problem worth a whiteboard session.
One email starts it. References, case detail, and availability on request.
